Sooyoung is a singer, actress, promotional model and dancer from South Korea and was born in Gwangju, Gyeonggi. She is a member of the best korean girl group from SM Entertainment which has became hallyu group, Girls' Generation/SNSD. Sooyoung is one of the lead dancer and vocalist  in the group.

  • Comic-writer Kangfull made a comic for Sooyoung. Apparently, SooYoung sent him a fan e-mail before. Kangfull was so impressed with the way SooYoung talks (very mature for her age) that he replied to her fanmail. Years later, they finally meet when SooYoung starred on the movie adaptation of Kangfull's Manhwa. 
  • Nicknamed Cheerful Princess because of her charming personality. She is considered one the friendliest members in the group.
  • She can spot fancams easily and she acknowledges them by smiling/waving/sending winks.
  • Soo has a penchant on keeping things even though they're worn out when she really likes it. An example of this would be how she still uses the Harry Potter blanket and the passport holder SSF gave her from years back.
  • When she was in middle school, she liked a certain guy that on Valentine's Day she planned on giving him chocolates. When the great day arrived, she was so shy to reveal her feelings that she ended up not giving the chocolates and bringing it back home.

So today it’s your birthday in Korea! I can’t believe I have been celebrating your birthday for 2 years now. I’m so happy to have known you because you’re one of the most precious people I have ever known of. Not only beautiful outside, but inside as well. You know, you are true angle that I know.

I love your kindness, your over protectiveness (especially to kyungsan:p), your love for sone and fanytastic, your gorgeous eye smile, and just your over all.
You’re amazingly hardworking and you’re such a good and always want do the best person and I know you’ll never change that. That’s why you’re my role model. I really love you Tiffany, 생일 축하해♡!!
I know there are a lot of hardships that you had to go through to get where you are today: moving across the globe, having to learn new languages, and being ignored when SNSD first began because you were different. These are some of the things that have caused you to turn into my bias, because I want to someday become a singer as well, and I have learned many things from you. I admire the hard work and effort that you put into learning Korean and singing so beautifully.
From your debut until now. I thought you were better than the first. Part of the SNSD songs that you sing a lot more. You have a lot of solo songs now. And, all the people who used to hate you, now become your fans,:) I know you do not deserve to be hated.
